To Chelsea, for Bryttni ~ because they always had their hands raised up together

Upon Aaron’s Death

Moses feels the space of Aaron’s absence
as he’s tasked to carry on,
to do the same, but differently
now that Aaron’s gone
I’m sorry, Moses whispers,
I know I fell from time to time
but you’ve always been here with me
helping hold my hands up high
I love you, brother… friend
this day I never longed to see
It feels like I’ve been split in two
like we saw happen at the sea
and all the waters rushed back in
but now it’s only me
